Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Fatty’, also known as ‘Thick Leaf’, is a compact aquatic plant distinguished by its thick, sturdy, deep-green leaves and robust appearance. Its dense foliage creates excellent texture and makes it an attractive choice for foreground and midground areas in freshwater aquascapes. This slow-growing variety thrives under low to moderate lighting and generally does not require additional CO₂. Attach the rhizome to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape rather than burying it in the substrate. Hardy and easy to maintain, ‘Fatty’ is ideal for aquarists seeking durable, compact greenery with a bold and distinctive appearance.
