Blue Rili Shrimp – Stunning Blue & Transparent Freshwater Aquarium Shrimp
The Blue Rili Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) is a beautiful ornamental freshwater shrimp admired for its distinctive blue-and-transparent body pattern, peaceful temperament, and fascinating grazing behaviour.
Selectively bred for its unique appearance, this attractive shrimp displays varying shades of blue pigmentation combined with translucent or clear sections along its body. Its unusual colour pattern creates a striking contrast against lush green aquatic plants, mosses, and natural aquarium decorations.
Blue Rili Shrimp are excellent additions to mature planted aquariums, nano tanks, and peaceful shrimp communities. They spend much of their time exploring plants, driftwood, and substrate while grazing on natural biofilm, soft algae, and organic particles.
Hardy, active, and relatively easy to care for, these colourful freshwater shrimp are suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
Their distinctive markings, elegant blue coloration, and natural grazing habits make them a wonderful choice for aquascaping enthusiasts.
