Bucephalandra ‘Catherine Red’ is a beautiful slow-growing aquatic plant prized for its compact form and rich, colorful foliage. Under suitable aquarium conditions, its leaves can develop attractive shades of red, bronze, purple, and deep green, often with a subtle metallic sheen. Its vibrant coloration makes it an excellent accent for foreground and midground areas, particularly when attached to rocks or driftwood. Low to moderate lighting is suitable, while supplemental CO₂ and balanced nutrients can encourage healthier growth and stronger coloration. Keep the rhizome above the substrate to prevent rot. ‘Catherine Red’ is an excellent choice for nano tanks and detailed, high-end aquascapes.
