Celestial Pearl Danio – Stunning Galaxy-Patterned Nano Aquarium Fish
The Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus), commonly known as the Galaxy Rasbora, is one of the most beautiful nano freshwater fish, admired for its extraordinary pearl-like spots, deep blue body, and vibrant orange-red fins.
Native to the freshwater habitats of Myanmar, this miniature species features a dark blue to charcoal body covered in shimmering cream-coloured spots that resemble stars scattered across a night sky.
Mature males display especially brilliant coloration, with vivid red-orange fins decorated with striking black bands. Females generally have a rounder body and softer coloration.
Peaceful, curious, and highly attractive, Celestial Pearl Danios thrive in mature planted aquariums with dense vegetation, gentle water movement, and plenty of hiding places.
Their compact adult size makes them an exceptional choice for nano aquariums and carefully maintained peaceful community tanks.
With their unique galaxy-like appearance and fascinating social behaviour, Celestial Pearl Danios are a stunning addition to any aquascape.
