Cryptocoryne undulata ‘Red’ is an attractive aquatic plant prized for its gently wavy leaves and warm reddish coloration. Depending on lighting and growing conditions, the foliage can develop beautiful shades of bronze, red, reddish-brown, and olive green, creating excellent contrast against bright green plants. Its compact rosette growth makes it ideal for foreground-to-midground placement in planted aquariums. Moderate lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate encourage healthy growth and stronger coloration, while supplemental CO₂ can promote denser development. Once established, this hardy Cryptocoryne requires relatively little maintenance and adds rich color, natural texture, and visual depth to freshwater aquascapes.
