Corydoras hastatus – Adorable Dwarf Schooling Catfish
The Corydoras hastatus, commonly known as the Dwarf Corydoras or Tail Spot Pygmy Cory, is a charming miniature freshwater catfish admired for its delicate silver body, distinctive black tail marking, and peaceful personality.
Unlike many traditional Corydoras species, these tiny catfish frequently swim in the middle levels of the aquarium, displaying fascinating schooling behaviour. Their small size and gentle nature make them an excellent addition to peaceful nano and planted aquariums.
Dwarf Corydoras thrive in groups, creating a beautiful display of synchronized swimming as they explore their surroundings. They prefer clean, stable water, gentle filtration, fine substrate, and plenty of aquatic plants for shelter.
An excellent choice for aquarists seeking a peaceful, active, and delightful miniature catfish.
