Its substantial foliage creates a bold tropical appearance, making it an excellent choice for midground and background placement in medium to large freshwater aquariums. Moderate to strong lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate support healthy root development and vigorous growth, while balanced fertilization helps maintain lush foliage. Supplemental CO₂ can encourage faster development but is not essential. Under favorable conditions, the plant may produce leaves that extend above the water surface.
