Its substantial size and lush foliage create a strong tropical appearance, making it best suited for midground and background placement in larger freshwater aquariums. Moderate to strong lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate support its extensive root system and healthy development, while balanced fertilization helps maintain vibrant foliage. Supplemental CO₂ can encourage faster growth but is not essential. Under favorable conditions, the plant may produce leaves that extend above the water surface.
