Its slender leaves gradually spread through runners, creating a lush natural lawn across the foreground of planted aquariums. Moderate to strong lighting encourages compact growth, while supplemental CO₂ and balanced nutrients can significantly improve spreading speed and carpet density. Before planting, rinse away the culture gel and divide the plant into many small portions. Plant each portion a short distance apart across the substrate for faster coverage.
