Depending on the variety, its leaves may display deep green, pink, red, white, or silver markings, creating an eye-catching accent for terrariums, paludariums, and humid tropical displays. It thrives in high humidity with bright indirect light and consistently moist, well-drained growing media. Fittonia is not a true aquatic plant and should not be permanently submerged underwater. For paludarium displays, keep the foliage above the waterline. Its compact growth, vivid patterns, and tropical appearance make it an excellent decorative foreground plant.
