Hemigraphis colorata ‘Big Leaves’ is a striking tropical ornamental plant prized for its large, textured foliage and dramatic coloration. Its broad leaves can display rich shades of green, bronze, purple, and burgundy, creating excellent contrast in terrariums, paludariums, and humid tropical displays. It prefers high humidity, bright indirect light, and consistently moist growing media to maintain healthy, vibrant foliage. Hemigraphis is not a true aquatic plant and should not be permanently submerged underwater. In paludarium or aquarium-style displays, keep the roots moist while allowing the leaves to remain above the waterline. Its bold foliage makes it an excellent colorful accent for tropical planted displays.
