Limnophila aromatica ‘Red’ (Belem) is a striking aquatic stem plant prized for its vibrant red coloration and elegant, narrow foliage. Under strong lighting and favorable growing conditions, its leaves can develop beautiful shades of deep red, pink, purple, and bronze, creating dramatic contrast against green aquarium plants. Its upright growth makes it an excellent choice for midground and background placement in colorful freshwater aquascapes. Supplemental CO₂, balanced fertilization, and adequate lighting are recommended to encourage healthy growth and intense coloration. Regular trimming promotes branching and creates dense, bushy groups. With its rich colors and graceful form, ‘Red Belem’ makes a stunning focal point in planted aquariums.
