Ludwigia palustris ‘Red’ is a stunning aquatic stem plant prized for its vibrant red foliage and elegant, compact growth. Under strong lighting and favorable aquarium conditions, its leaves can develop beautiful shades of bright red, deep crimson, burgundy, and reddish-purple, creating dramatic contrast against green aquatic plants. Its upright growth makes it an excellent choice for midground and background placement in colorful freshwater aquariums. Moderate to strong lighting, supplemental CO₂, and balanced fertilization encourage healthy growth and more intense coloration. Regular trimming promotes branching and creates dense, bushy groups. With its brilliant colors and graceful appearance, Ludwigia palustris ‘Red’ makes an eye-catching feature in Dutch-style and nature-inspired aquascapes.
